Call for Junior Resident | 2021 CACN

We are recruiting for a new Junior Resident Representative to the CACN. This is a great opportunity to get involved with CACN as a resident. For the first year, you will take on the role of Junior Resident Representative where you will work closely with the Senior Resident Representative and learn about the society. The following year, you will transition into the Senior Resident Representative role.

At a glance, here are the responsibilities shared between the Junior and Senior Resident representatives:

  • Draft biannual to quarterly resident newsletters
  • Encourage resident engagement in the society
  • Co-ordinate the CACN mentorship program
  • Update the list of fellowships, and job position contacts once annually
  • Assist in planning the Resident’s Social and Resident Course for the CNSF Congress
  • Attend the annual Congress and associated board meeting at the Congress
  • You will have a seat on the CACN Board, the CNSF Scientific Program Committee (SPC), the CNSF Professional Development Committee (PDC) and will be invited to attend teleconference meetings, including CNSF Board meetings.

If you are interested in the Junior Resident Representative position, please draft a statement of interest (no longer than one page) highlighting your reason for interest in the position as well as relevant experience.
