excellence in education, an important part of the CNSF mission
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an important part of the Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation (CNSF) mission to support the neuroscience professions in Canada.
The CNSF builds upon Excellence in Education, to improve the wellbeing of children and adults with diseases, disorders and injuries of the nervous system and the prevention of these conditions. Continuing professional development is a cornerstone of the success of the individual practitioner, the profession and the CNSF Member Societies. Accordingly, the CNSF’s educational efforts must reflect excellence in their quality, relevance and delivery.
As an Accredited CPD Provider of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, we are dedicated to the advancement of the neuroscience professions in Canada, and particularly those members of the CNSF Societies.
Continuing Professional Development
The goal of this priority is to review, refine, improve and expand the overall CNSF Continuing Professional Development (CPD) plan to meet the evolving needs of society members while continuing to focus on the CNSF Congress and the Journal (CJNS). To achieve the goal of this priority, the CNSF will:
- Identify and document emerging perceived and unperceived educational needs of members.
- Continually evaluate the Congress through periodic assessments of its effectiveness in meeting member needs.
- Develop and implement a Journal Operational Plan that will increase the impact factor and ensure the Journal prospers and is managed to thrive in a digital world.
- Promote the development of Clinical Practice Guidelines.
