The Herbert Jasper Prize is awarded annually for the best submitted expanded abstract in clinical or basic neurophysiology by a resident or fellow in training.

Society Prizes | CNSF Congress

Members have the opportunity to win valuable society prizes by submitting an 'Abstract' to the Congress as well as an 'Expanded Abstract' to the society competitions.

Winners will be given the opportunity to present their work at the CNSF Congress. Prize winners’ will be announced in the Neuro|News Annual Edition, and in the Congress Abstract Supplement of the Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences (CJNS) and on the CNSF website.

additional cash awards

The CSCN is offering a $500 cash award for the best EEG abstract and a $500 cash award for the best EMG abstract submitted and approved to the CNSF Congress.

In 2025, there will also be six $1,000 travel awards. Three for EEG and three for EMG.

Contestants must submit their basic abstract to the Congress, as instructed in the Call for Abstracts and be a member in good standing with any one of the six Societies of the CNSF; as a Junior member or a Full member within two years of receiving their Royal College certificate.
