COVID-19 Update | CNSF
COVID-19 impact to CNSF Congress
September 10, 2021
We have been diligently monitoring the rise in Covid-19-Delta and the resulting safety concerns for our October 2021 Congress Chairs, Speakers, delegates and all other Congress participants.
Many of the folks mentioned above have also expressed their concerns and several have withdrawn their participation.
The CNSF Board has decided to cancel the October Congress and move the Program to the QE in Montreal, June 26 to 29, 2022. This was a difficult decision but one that we felt was necessary in order to ensure the safety of all.
There are, obviously, many things we have to sort out going forward and these will be dealt with in the upcoming days and weeks. We hope you can be part of our 2022 Congress in Montreal.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Note: Those who have already registered for the Congress will receive full refunds from the Registration office at Intertask Conferences.

The Ontario Provincial Government and the Royal York Hotel are currently operating under the rules of Step 3 which dictates that for events such as our Congress all exhibitors, suppliers, staff, delegates and all other participants the wearing of masks is mandatory in all locations throughout the Royal York Hotel. The CNSF fully expects that these same ‘participants’ in our Congress are fully vaccinated and may, subject to the rules in place at the time of the Congress from the Ontario/Federal Government and the Royal York, require proof of vaccination in the form of ID and certification before allowing entry to the Hotel or Congress registration area.
The CNSF must follow the rules and policies established by the Ontario or Federal Governments and Royal York Hotel for the safety of all those attending the CNSF 2021 Congress.
Covid-19 will dictate the rules we have to follow and we are closely monitoring the situation and will announce changes to the rules as they occur.
Thank you for your understanding and compliance.
Note: the Fairmont Royal York has partnered with top experts to implement new standards of safety and protocols. The Royal York hotel is ALLSAFE certified with some of the most stringent cleaning standards and operational procedures in the hospitality industry.

We hope that you all are staying safe and healthy in these dangerous times.
After careful consideration of the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the CNSF Board of Directors made the decision on March 23, 2020 to CANCEL the CNSF Annual Congress originally scheduled for June 7-10, 2020, in Banff.
There are, obviously, many things we have to sort out going forward and these will be dealt with in the upcoming days and weeks.
Those who have already registered for the Congress will receive full refunds and will be contacted by the Registration Team with further information in the coming days. And those who have booked hotel rooms at the Banff Springs will be contacted directly by the hotel for a full refund.
This was a difficult decision but one that we felt was necessary in order to ensure the safety of all.
We are already planning for our 2021 Congress and we hope that you will be able to join us then.
Thank you all.

The CNSF is actively monitoring the situation with the COVID-19 virus and its potential impact on the 2020 CNSF Congress. The health and safety of our delegates and staff is top priority.
At this time, the Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the current risk in Canada as low and therefore we encourage our members and delegates to proceed with their plans to attend and continue to be involved. We also encourage you to Register for the Congress and book your hotel room as normal. As the CNSF prepares for this Congress, we will remain vigilant and consider the most appropriate action to be taken.
We have set a date of April 15th to further assess the situation. In the event that we feel it is in everyone’s best interest to cancel our 2020 Congress, then anyone that has registered and booked a hotel room will receive a full refund.
Be assured that the Banff Springs Hotel has multiple safeguards in place to protect all visitors to the hotel and adjoining conference spaces.
